Qusay Mahmoud, Ph.D., P.Eng. (aka Dr. Q) is a passionate educator, researcher, and innovator in software engineering and AI integration with real-world applications. With a career spanning over two decades in both academia and industry, he is currently a Professor of Software Engineering and Associate Dean for Experiential Learning & Engineering Outreach in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Ontario Tech University in Canada, specializing in intelligent software systems. Dr. Q’s leadership extends beyond the classroom—he has revitalized programs like Engineering Co-op and expanded Engineering Outreach initiatives, which now attract over $1 million annually, bringing cutting-edge STEM education to thousands of youth in Ontario and beyond.
